Leading Change

Leading Change is a call to action that offers gender-based violence prevention training.
Our Shelter offers training with our staff trained by Alberta Council of Women's Shelter (ACWS) for agencies, companies, schools, social groups, sports groups and anyone interested in learning about gender-based violence prevention,
gender norms and creating a safer community.

If you are interested in learning more check our ACWS's website at
Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters - Equipping leaders to take action to end violence & abuse. (acws.ca) or
connect with our trained staff by calling
780-624-3466 or emailing intake@prrws.com to inquire and book a training!

Peace River Regional Women's Shelter Society acknowledges that we are located on Metis Region 6 and Treaty 8 territory, the ancestral and present-day home to many diverse First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people. We are grateful to work, live and learn on the traditional territory of the Dene, Beaver and Cree, who are the original caretakers of this land.
We acknowledge the history of this land and we are thankful for the opportunity to walk together in friendship, where we will encourage and promote positive change for present and future generations.
